I'm Michael Goldstein.

I'm a Senior Engineering Manager at Akuna Capital, a proprietary trading firm based in Chicago, where I've worked since 2014. My primary focuses at Akuna include using FPGAs to build low-latency trading systems and doing lightweight research into ways to improve the trading systems. Professional interests of mine include programming languages and compilers, data analysis, machine learning, statistics, computer architecture, and digital logic design.

I currently live in Chicago with my wife and two dogs. Interests and hobbies of mine outside of computers include playing chess, cooking delicious meals, following baseball and hockey, playing board and card games, and hiking.
